Dickinson Avenue Public House is a gastropub in Greenville, NC featuring modern, made from scratch American dishes utilizing fresh, local ingredients. “DAP House” offers a seasonally rotating menu featuring influences of Creole, Asian, and Upscale Southern Cuisine, house-made desserts, and a full-service bar with rotating craft brews on tap and original craft cocktails created by our bartenders provides a unique experience for diners.
OUR OWNERS
TANDI WILSON
Originally from Alexandria, VA, Tandi relocated to Greenville in 2001, attending ECU. A member of the graduating class of 2005 with a BA in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Multidisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Business, German, and Political Sciences, Tandi continued to invest in the city that she had come to love.
Since 2009 Tandi has been the owner of Christy’s Euro Pub, serving quality from-scratch food to the Historic College View neighborhood and becoming a staple for locals of Greenville. Now she’s partnered with husband Jacob Wilson and neighbors and long-time friends Kristi Southern and Brad Hufford to bring Dickinson Avenue Public House to life.
JACOB WILSON
Raised in Texas, Jacob spent a post-military career traveling across the US helping facilitate cable start-ups during the voice-over digital phone boom. In 2005, after numerous trips to Greenville, and hours spent at Christy’s Euro Pub, he decided to relocate to the area and began working at Christy’s, bringing his from-scratch mentality with him and revitalizing their menu into what it is today.
A self-taught chef, Jacob brings his passion for feeding groups of friends and family to Dickinson Avenue Public House, which he’s proud to own with Brad, Kristi, and Tandi.
KRISTI SOUTHERN
A native of Stokesdale, NC, Kristi moved to Greenville in 1995 to attend ECU, eventually earning her Bachelor’s Degree (BA in English with a minor in Art), as well as her Masters of Art in Multicultural Literature. During that time she worked as a waitress and bartender at several Greenville establishments, including King Sandwich, Darryl’s Restaurant, and Peasant’s Cafe, where she eventually rose to the role of manager.
Now, after a decade of teaching, Kristi has returned to the service industry, partnering with Tandi, Jacob, and Brad to launch Dickinson Avenue Public House.
BRAD HUFFORD
A native of Pitt County, Brad spent time in St. Louis and Philadelphia courtesy of his father’s military career. Upon graduating high school he returned to Greenville, enrolling at ECU in 1995 and graduating as a member of the class of 2000 with a double major in History and Political Science before eventually earning his Master’s in Public Administration.
In addition to being an owner of Dickinson Avenue Public House, Brad is the Associate Director of Retention and Expansion for Pitt County. His love for southern cuisine, and the Greenville area, has led him to launching Dickinson Avenue Public House with Jacob, Kristi, and Tandi.
